Wollongong Eye Specialists are seeking two Trainee Clinical Assistants to join our dynamic and growing clinical team.
These are casual and full time positions that will provide you with hands-on training and development opportunities within our ophthalmology practice.
What you'll be doing
- Assisting ophthalmologists and other medical staff with simple ophthalmic procedures
- Preparing examination rooms and maintaining equipment
- Providing exceptional support to our team, ophthalmologists and their patients
- Performing administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records
- Undertaking ongoing hand-on training to develop your skills
- Communicating and dealing with patients directly
What we're looking for
- Keen interest in the healthcare industry and specialist medical practice
- Solid desire to learn and develop
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions precisely
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Be able to work in a state of the art,
specialist medical practice environment
- Previous experience in healthcare/ophthalmology is a plus but not essential
