About the company/role:

Our client is Australia’s leading food coating manufacturer and provides a wide range of marinades, seasonings, batters, breadcrumbs and functional ingredients. They are currently seeking a QC Officer to join their team in Western Sydney. This role is a full-time, night shift (10pm-6am), casual, on-going role.

Duties:

- Inspect incoming raw materials & batch of manufactured product
- Analytical testing of samples & management of retention samples
- Ensure highest levels of HACCP & GMP by monitoring manufacturing
- Ensure highest levels of hygiene by following & improving cleaning and sanitation programs
- Calibration of laboratory instruments daily & maintain cleanliness of the setting

Skills/experience:

- Tertiary qualifications in Food Science or equivalent
- Previous experience working in the food/ beverage industry is highly desirable
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good understanding of quality standards, HACCP and GMP
- Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills
