Job: Full Stack Progress OpenEdge Developer (legacy)

Length: 6-9 months

Location: Pyrmont (5 days on site preferred, possibility for 4 days onsite for the right candidate)

This is an opportunity to step into a key technical position supporting a well-established, bespoke business system. Success in this role will depend on your ability to absorb knowledge during the initial handover period (4 weeks) and confidently take ownership of the ongoing development and support of the platform.

Key Responsibilities

- Support, maintain, and enhance the client's existing Progress OpenEdge application.
- Work closely with the outgoing developer during the knowledge transfer period.
- Troubleshoot, resolve, and implement enhancements to business-critical applications.




- Contribute to integration and development initiatives as required.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the continued stability and performance of the system.
- Proven commercial experience developing and supporting Progress OpenEdge (Progress 4GL/ABL) applications.
- Full stack development experience within a Progress OpenEdge environment.
- Experience working with and maintaining legacy, business-critical enterprise systems.
- Ability to quickly understand and take ownership of an established codebase.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
