Milano Bakehouse is looking for an experienced and creative Qualified Pastry Chef to join our artisan bakery team in Bowen Hills.

About the Role

Working alongside our Head Baker and talented bakery team, you will play a key role in producing a high-quality range of patisserie, desserts, pastries and viennoiserie.

This is a hands‑on role requiring strong experience across both patisserie and dessert production, as well as pastry and laminated doughs, including croissant making.

You’ll be responsible for:

Producing a range of patisserie, desserts and sweet products from scratch

Preparing high-quality pastries and viennoiserie, including croissants, Danish, tarts and brioche

Working confidently with laminated doughs and traditional pastry techniques

Finishing and presenting products to a consistently high standard

Contributing to recipe development and new product ideas

Supporting daily production targets and bakery workflow

Maintaining exceptional hygiene, food safety and cleanliness standards

Supporting and mentoring junior team members and apprentices

Working collaboratively with the wider bakery team

What You’ll Bring

Relevant trade qualifications as a Pastry Chef

A minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a commercial bakery, patisserie or similar setting

Demonstrated patisserie and dessert experience





Strong pastry, laminated dough and croissant-making experience

Must be available to work Sundays - Sunday is a critical production day for our bakery and regular Sunday availability is essential for this role.
