Procurement Specialist - Temporary Contract
Western Sydney - NSW | 6-Month Contract | $54 - $63 per hour + Super
An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our client on a six-month temporary contract. Based onsite, you will support the delivery of procurement and tendering activities while ensuring compliance, governance, and value-for-money outcomes across a range of projects.
About the Role
Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will:
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities, including RFQs, RFTs and Expressions of Interest.
- Coordinate tender evaluations and undertake pricing and market analysis.
- Prepare procurement reports, recommendations and contract documentation.
- Provide procurement advice and support to internal stakeholders.
- Ensure procurement processes comply with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
- Support supplier relationship management and procurement planning activities.
About You
To be successful, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience managing procurement, tendering and quotation processes.
- Strong knowledge of procurement principles and contract management practices.
- Excellent analytical, report writing and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience preparing evaluation reports and procurement recommendations.
- The ability to work autonomously while managing multiple priorities.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications, a Certificate IV/Diploma in Procurement, or equivalent industry experience.
- Local Government or public sector experience will be highly regarded.
