Our planners are the most experienced and awarded in the country guiding projects from vision to approval and beyond. As a Consultant, every day is different! You'll make an impact by:
- Contributing to the preparation of statutory land use planning projects, including development applications, land use studies, compliance assessments, highest and best use analysis, due diligence, precinct plans, and supporting technical inputs.
- Providing high-quality planning analysis and advice informed by current government policies, regional and local priorities and stakeholder needs.
- Collaborating with internal and external multidisciplinary teams, including specialists in the fields of economics, urban design, transport, infrastructure advisory, social planning and stakeholder engagement.
- Preparing and reviewing reports, presentations and public-facing documents that communicate complex planning concepts clearly and persuasively.
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard of quality.
About You:
- Holds a tertiary qualification in Urban and Regional Town Planning or a related discipline along with ideally 1 - 2 years of relevant experience gained in a consultancy or local/State government environment
- Sound knowledge of statutory planning, and related legislation, ideally gained in a consultancy or local/State government environment
- Proficient appreciation and understanding of statutory policies, processes and influences
- Proficient appreciation and understanding of impacts and issues affecting land use and development
- A collaborative mindset, to bring out the best in yourself and others while bringing new thinking to Urbis and our clients
- Passion for purpose-led work, and driving a positive legacy for our communities, clients and yourself
