Service Coordinator – Meals on Wheels Brisbane South
Location: 314 Colburn Ave Victoria Point
Permanent Part-Time | 65 hours per fortnight | Monday to Friday 8:00-2:30pm

Meals on Wheels Brisbane South is looking for a Service Coordinator to join our vibrant team at our Victoria Point Kitchen – proudly serving the Victoria Point and Southern Moreton Bay Islands since 1974.
About Us
With more than 70 years of experience in aged care, Meals on Wheels is more than just a meal service. We support seniors, NDIS participants, and others in the community by providing nutritious, home-cooked meals that help them stay independent and connected.
In 2021, 11 individual services across Brisbane South amalgamated to form one solid, unified NFP organisation. Our services span from Victoria Point in the east to Centenary in the west, covering the Brisbane South Aged Care Planning Region. We're passionate about delivering services with heart, dignity and purpose.
What You’ll Do
As a Service Coordinator, you'll play a central role in ensuring our service runs smoothly every day. From coordinating volunteers to managing client services and daily meal deliveries, you'll use your organisational skills, administrative expertise and positive attitude to:
- Process My Aged Care referrals and coordinate client intake
- Organise daily meal production and delivery schedules
- Coordinate volunteer recruitment, inductions, rosters and engagement
- Manage client payments and financial reconciliation
- Ensure compliance with Food Safety Standards, Aged Care Standards, organisational policies and procedures
- Coordinate asset maintenance and support kitchen operations
- Foster a positive and supportive culture among staff and volunteers
Does this sound like you?
- You’re a natural organiser who can juggle tasks and priorities with ease
- You have experience in administration, customer service or service coordination
- You're comfortable using Microsoft Office and other technology. Experience with client management systems is highly regarded
- You know how to motivate and support people, whether they're staff or volunteers
- You’re a confident communicator who loves solving problems
- You’re outcomes-focused, enthusiastic and community-minded
- Experience in hospitality, commercial kitchens or food service is highly regarded
- Experience with the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP), Support at Home (SaH) or the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is highly regarded. If you're eager to learn, we'll provide the support you need to succeed.

Essential Requirements (or willingness to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Screening (Yellow Card)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
