Due to continued business growth, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Architectural Draftsperson to join our qualified team.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Prepare architectural drawings, plans, and construction documentation using AutoCAD, Revit, and other drafting software.
- Produce accurate technical drawings, specifications, schedules, and project documentation.
- Interpret design briefs, sketches, and technical information to develop detailed drafting documentation.
- Assist in the preparation and refinement of concept designs in accordance with client requirements and regulatory standards.
- Ensure drawings comply with relevant building codes, Australian Standards,
council requirements, and project specifications.
- Coordinate and update documentation throughout all stages of projects, from design development to construction.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, engineers, and other stakeholders regarding drafting and documentation requirements.
- Conduct site inspections and measurements where required to support project documentation.
- Maintain drawing revisions, technical records, and project documentation.
- Collaborate with architects, designers, and engineers to deliver practical, compliant, and buildable design solutions.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
To be considered for this position, applicants should possess:
- A Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma in a related field.
- At least three years of relevant professional experience as an Architectural Draftsperson.
- Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Excellent technical drawing, documentation, and project coordination skills.
- Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
