Your new company

Our client is a well-established construction consultancy providing project management and quantity surveying services across a diverse range of projects throughout Queensland. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor with previous consultancy experience to join their team.

Your new role

This is a traditional PQS role with a strong emphasis on pre-contract services, which make up around 70% of the workload. You'll be responsible for preparing feasibility studies, cost estimates, elemental cost plans, bills of quantities, tender documentation and tender evaluations, while providing cost advice throughout the design and procurement phases.

The remaining workload is post-contract and will include progress claim assessments, variation assessments, cost reporting and final account negotiations. You'll work closely with clients, consultants and contractors to help deliver projects on time and within budget.

What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate will hold tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management andwill ideally have previous experience working within a PQS consultancy.

As this is a client-facing role,



you'll need excellent written and verbal communication skills, together with a sound understanding of the Queensland construction market. Existing industry relationships within the local market would be an advantage.

Membership with the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (AIQS), Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), or another recognised professional body will be highly regarded.

A current Australian driver's licence is required, along with the ability to attend client meetings and site inspections.

Suggest salaryin $120-140k range (plus super), depending on experience, although there is flexibility at either end for the right candidate.
