We're Ozbuild Materials - a busy timber and hardware supplier in Queensland.... and we need a Warehouse Assistant to join our team. It's physical, hands-on work in a fast-moving environment, but we have a sense of humour and like to enjoy our day too! If you have that good down to earth work ethic and a great optimistic attitude (that our business has thrived on!) we would like to meet you!
What the job actually looks like
Day to day you'll be picking and packing orders, loading and unloading deliveries, keeping the yard organised and protected, and sometimes helping customers find what they need. There's always something going on in a timber yard - no two days are exactly the same and we like it that way!
You don't need to have worked in a building supply yard before, but you do need to be the kind of person who pays attention, takes ownership, and able to learn quickly.

Sharp attention to detail - the right product, the right quantity, right the first time
A team player who communicates well and keeps their crew in the loop
Self-motivated - you can see what needs doing and get on with it without someone standing over you
Comfortable asking questions when you're unsure (this one's important -we'd rather you ask than guess)
Physically fit and happy to be on your feet all day in a warehouse environment
A forklift licence is a double bonus, but not essential - we can work with the right person.
