We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and professional Medical Receptionist to join our busy ophthalmology practice on a maternity leave contract, working four days per week (no weekends). This role offers the opportunity to transition into a permanent position for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities:

Meet and greet patients in a friendly and compassionate way

Manage appointments, follow-ups, and hospital admissions

Handle billing, receipting, and Medicare/private health claims

Address incoming calls, emails, and patient inquiries





Processing patient registration and admission documentation

The successful candidate will have:

Experience as a medical receptionist in a quick-paced medical practice

Ability to multitask – prioritising patient care

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

High level of attention to detail and organisational ability

Time management skills and ability to prioritise workload

Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
