About the role
We are seeking an experienced Practice Manager to join Combined Therapy Services on a full-time basis for 12 months contract initially, transitioning to permanent role. The position is based in Camden, NSW 2570, 1 day a week working from home.
In this pivotal position, you will be responsible for the overall operational management and administration of our practice. The Practice Manager plays a crucial strategic role in ensuring the practice runs smoothly and efficiently, whilst maintaining the highest standards of patient care, staff performance and financial sustainability. You will oversee day-to-day operations, manage staff, maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, and work closely with clinical leadership to support the delivery of quality therapeutic services.
Key responsibilities
Oversee all administrative and operational functions of the practice, ensuring efficient workflows and optimal resource utilisation
Manage staff recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, performance management and professional development
Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations, NDIS, privacy legislation, occupational health and safety requirements, and professional standards
Development and implementation of the Practice policies and procedures.
Manage and lead NDIS registration audits.
Manage patient scheduling, appointment systems and process from referral to service delivery to ensure smooth patient flow
Maintain accurate and secure patient records in accordance with regulatory requirements
Monitor and manage practice inventory, equipment and facility maintenance
Liaise with healthcare providers, insurance companies and other external stakeholders.
Promote and use marketing opportunities to increase referrals and connections with stakeholders.
Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote operational excellence and patient satisfaction in line with NDS standards.
Prepare regular reports and provide operational updates to practice leadership
Foster a positive workplace culture that supports staff wellbeing and qualified growth.
What we're looking for
Proven experience as a Practice Manager or in a similar healthcare management role, ideally within a therapeutic or allied health setting
Strong knowledge of healthcare administration, NDS standards and process, practice management software and relevant compliance requirement
Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a diverse team in a quick-paced environment
Exceptional organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clinical staff, patients and external stakeholders
Proficiency with practice management software, Microsoft Office and computer systems
Knowledge of healthcare privacy legislation, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and relevant state regulations
Current understanding of occupational health and safety obligations in healthcare settings
Professional qualifications in business management, healthcare administration or related field are desirable
