We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our high-performing maintenance team in a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a trade-qualified electrician who thrives on troubleshooting complex automated equipment, improving plant reliability, and working in a safety-focused production facility.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining the electrical integrity of production equipment while supporting continuous improvement initiatives that maximise plant performance and minimise downtime.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing and packaging equipment.
- Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns to minimise production downtime.
- Diagnose and repair faults on PLC-controlled automated machinery.
- Troubleshoot motor control circuits, VFDs, servo systems, sensors, and industrial instrumentation.
- Maintain conveyors, filling lines, packaging equipment, palletisers, compressors, pumps, and associated plant utilities.
- Inspect, test, and maintain electrical installations in accordance with Australian Standards.
- Complete scheduled maintenance activities using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Assist with equipment upgrades, installations, commissioning, and continuous improvement projects.
- Ensure all work complies with workplace health and safety requirements, Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures, and food safety standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and support production teams during shift operations.

About You

To be successful in this role you will possess:

- Queensland Electrical Mechanic Licence.
- Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician (UEE30820 or equivalent).
- Current Low Voltage Rescue (LVR) and CPR certification.
- Current Australian Driver Licence.
- Demonstrated experience as an Industrial Maintenance Electrician within FMCG, food and beverage, packaging, pharmaceutical,



or manufacturing industries.
- Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience with preventive and breakdown maintenance in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Working knowledge of AS/NZS 3000 (Wiring Rules) and Queensland electrical safety legislation.
- Understanding of GMP, HACCP, and food manufacturing standards.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, and participate in an on-call roster if required.

Technical Skills

Experience with the following is highly regarded:

- Allen-Bradley (Rockwell Automation)
- HMI and SCADA systems
- Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
- Servo drives and motion control
- Industrial Ethernet, Profinet, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, and Modbus networks
- Industrial instrumentation including pressure, temperature, flow, and level devices
- Pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- SAP PM, MEX, Maximo, Fiix, or other CMMS platforms

Desirable Qualifications

- Working at Heights
- Confined Space Entry
- Elevated Work Platform (EWP)
- Forklift Licence (LF)
- First Aid (HLTAID011)
- Lean Manufacturing or Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) experience
