HRM Contracting and consulting – Sunshine Coast QLD

Are you a hands-on Project Manager who has come “from the tools” and knows how to turn a set of drawings into a project delivered on time, on budget, and to spec?

This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of complex architectural metalwork packages for a business known for its execution and reliability in the commercial construction space.

Our client is a well-established, end-to-end architectural metalwork solutions provider, delivering high-quality fabrication and finishing services to the construction industry. With a strong reputation for execution and reliability, they partner with builders and developers to deliver complex metalwork packages across commercial construction projects.

The Role:
This is a critical delivery role, owning projects from award through to completion — coordinating internal production, managing client relationships, and ensuring every project is delivered on time, on budget, and to specification. You'll need a strong understanding of construction and manufacturing processes, and the confidence to interpret drawings, manage budgets, and keep multiple stakeholders aligned.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the end-to-end delivery of multiple construction projects simultaneously
- Develop and maintain project programs, budgets, and resource plans
- Interpret drawings, specifications, and scopes to ensure accurate project execution
- Liaise with clients, builders, site supervisors, and internal production teams
- Coordinate procurement, fabrication, finishing, and installation activities
- Monitor project performance against budgets, timelines, and forecast metrics
- Identify risks, delays, or cost impacts and take corrective action early
- Maintain accurate project reporting, documentation,

and forecasting
- Drive continuous improvement across project delivery processes

- Strong technical understanding of fabrication and installation processes (ideally from a trade background)
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects from planning through to execution
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders — clients, contractors, and internal teams
- Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and project margins
- High level of organisation, reporting, and project tracking ability
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- A trade background in metalwork, fabrication, or construction, and prior experience with architectural metal products or in a manufacturing-linked project environment - will be highly regarded.

Why Apply

- Competitive salary package
