Were seeking a full-time Condition Monitoring Technician for our operations in Gladstone. The successful candidate will perform routine and detailed vibration analysis, machinery diagnostics, and precision field services to ensure the reliability of critical rotating equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and detailed vibration analysis in accordance with ISO standards.
- Use and interpret data from Emerson CSI2140, Commtest analyzers, MHM software, and System 1 platforms.
- Conduct on-site balancing of rotating equipment including fans, pumps, turbines, and motors.
- Carry out precision laser alignment for coupled rotating machines using advanced laser tools.
- Support advanced diagnostics, including run-up and coast-down testing of turbines and other critical assets.
- Prepare detailed technical reports including recommendations for corrective actions.
- Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to develop predictive maintenance strategies.
- Conduct ultrasound, infrared thermography, and lubrication assessments (preferred but not mandatory).
- Ensure safety and compliance with all relevant procedures and client site requirements.
- Provide technical support and mentoring to junior team members when required.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Experience:
Minimum 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in condition monitoring, vibration analysis, and machinery diagnostics.
- Certifications:
- ISO VCAT2 (Mobius Institute VCAT-III preferred)
- ISO TCAT1
- ISO LCAT1
- Technical Skills: Proven experience using Emerson CSI2140, Commtest instruments, and MHM / System 1 software platforms.
- Field Skills: Demonstrated ability to perform on-site balancing and laser alignment independently.
- Equipment Knowledge: Experience with turbomachinery diagnostics, including start-up and shutdown data collection.
- Logistics: Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to oil analysis, motor current analysis, and ultrasound testing.
- Knowledge of root cause analysis (RCA) and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) principles.
- Familiarity with CMMS platforms (e.g., SAP, Maximo).
