We are seeking a team member with a passion for health care to help deliver great surgical eye care for our patients. The Clinical Assistant's key role is to optimise patient experience by providing clinical support to our surgeons and allied health staff. It is an ideal position for someone who enjoys patient care but also wishes to develop technical skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Optimisation of patient flow and attention to patients needs during their clinic visit
- Assist with preliminary patient assessment in adults and children including collating patient history, basic vision tests and conducting computerised visual tests
- Attending to patient or other health provider enquiries via phone, email and face to face
- Instillation of eye drops in adults and children
- Assisting doctors with minor procedure set up and clean up
- Collation of surgeon theatre lists with organisation of patient's pre and post operative pathways
- Maintenance of medical stock supplies and cleaning/processing of clinical instruments
Required Experience and Attributes:
- Qualification in a health or health science field (Diploma or above)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A high level of attention to detail
- Experience working within a team in a busy health care environment
- Experience in providing very high quality customer or patient care
- A "can do" attitude with a willingness to learn new skills and to problem solve
- A Working with Children Check must be held to commence the position.
