About the Role
Mumbrella is seeking a highly organised and commercially minded Marketing Manager to join our marketing team. This role is responsible for planning and executing integrated campaigns that drive audience acquisition, ticket sales and engagement.
The Marketing Manager will collaborate closely with events, commercial, editorial and design teams to deliver end-to-end campaigns that are engaging, data-driven and executed to a high standard. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the Marketing Manager will be the engine room of the marketing team, driving revenue, audience and subscription growth, event attendance, and brand engagement.
The ideal candidate is an exceptional project manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong copywriting skills and enjoys juggling multiple campaigns simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end marketing strategy and execution for a portfolio of B2B event products
- Develop integrated marketing campaigns across email, paid media, social media, web, content and partnerships
- Create campaign timelines and manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring deadlines are met
- Play a leading role in the growth of Mumbrella’s paid subscription product, Mumbrella Pro
- Write compelling marketing copy, including EDMs, website content, social posts, digital advertising and promotional materials
- Develop audience engagement and communications strategies to maximise registrations and attendance
- Brief and collaborate with designers to produce creative assets across digital channels
- Schedule, optimise and report on paid campaigns across Meta, Google Ads and LinkedIn
- Build, segment and deploy email marketing campaigns, analysing performance to continuously improve results
- Work closely with the Commercial team to deliver sponsor marketing commitments and promotional opportunities
- Partner with the Events Operations team to ensure marketing activity aligns with event milestones and attendee communications
- Coordinate external suppliers, including media partners, agencies and freelancers where required
- Monitor campaign performance and provide regular reporting and insights using key marketing metrics
- Oversee campaign budgets, invoicing, and financial reconciliation
- Proactively monitoring spend to prevent overspend and continually optimising budget allocation to maximise campaign performance
- Identify opportunities to improve campaign performance through testing, optimisation and new marketing initiatives
- Assist in managing ajunior team member by providing guidance, ongoing support and quality assurance, allocation of workflow,and direction to ensure timely delivery
- Develop creative briefs and provide creative direction for photography and videography, ensuring content aligns with brand guidelines, campaign objectives, and marketing strategy
- Maintain brand consistency across all event communications and marketing collateral
Skills & Experience
- 5+ years' experience in a marketing role, ideally across events, media or B2B marketing
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple integrated marketing campaigns from strategy through to execution
- Excellent copywriting and communication skills, with experience writing high-performing EDMs and digital content
- Strong project management skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Experience managing email marketing platforms and CRM databases
- Hands-on experience running paid advertising campaigns across Meta, Google Ads and LinkedIn
- Experience briefing and managing creative production with designers
- Robust analytical skills with the ability to interpret campaign performance and make data-driven recommendations
- Highly organised, proactive and comfortable managing competing priorities
- Experience using marketing automation, analytics and project management tools is highly regarded
- Experience marketing B2B conferences, exhibitions, awards or other live events
- Experience in the media, marketing, advertising or publishing industries
- Familiarity with CRM and email marketing platforms such as HubSpot
- Experience using Google Analytics (GA4), Google Tag Manager and reporting dashboards
- Experience managing marketing budgets and forecasting campaign spend
- Experience managing media partnerships, sponsors or strategic promotional partners
- Basic design skills using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
- A passion for the media, marketing and communications industries, with an interest in industry trends and emerging channels
- Experience using AI tools to improve marketing efficiency, content creation and campaign optimisation
