Junior Medical Liaison Officer

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and professional Junior Medical Liaison Officer to support the growth of our referrer relationships across our medical imaging network.

This is an entry-level to early-career role suited to someone who is confident, well-presented, organised, and interested in developing a career in healthcare engagement, medical sales, business development, or referrer relations.

You will work closely with the management team to build relationships with GPs, specialists, allied health providers, and practice managers, helping ensure referrers have a positive experience when working with our clinics.

This role is field-based and will involve visiting medical practices, introducing our services, gathering feedback, supporting marketing initiatives, and helping improve communication between referrers and our internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Visit GP clinics, specialist rooms, allied health practices, and healthcare partners to introduce and promote our services

- Build and maintain positive relationships with doctors, practice managers, and administrative teams

- Provide referrers with information about our services, access pathways, turnaround times, and clinic updates

- Act as a point of contact for referrer enquiries and elevate issues to the appropriate internal team

- Gather feedback from referrers and identify opportunities to improve service and communication

- Support clinic openings, local area marketing, and referrer engagement campaigns

- Maintain accurate records of practice visits, referrer interactions, and feedback

- Assist with distributing referral pads, marketing materials, and service updates





- Represent the organisation professionally during practice visits, meetings, and local events

About You

You are confident, approachable, and eager to learn. You enjoy meeting new people, building relationships, and communicating professionally with healthcare providers.

You do not need extensive medical liaison experience, but you should be reliable, proactive, and comfortable speaking with doctors, practice managers, and healthcare teams.

You will bring:

- Previous experience in healthcare, medical administration, customer service, sales, business development, or relationship management

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Skilled presentation and a friendly, confident manner

- Ability to build rapport with different stakeholders

- Good organisation and time management skills

- Willingness to learn about medical imaging, referral pathways, and healthcare operations

- Ability to work independently while being supported by the management team

- A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel between practices

Experience in medical imaging, specialist practices, GP clinics, or healthcare administration will be highly regarded but is not essential.
