As we continue to expand, we are looking for compassionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to join our South West Rocks/Kempsey team.
About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide tailored support to participants in their homes and within the community, helping them build independence and improve their quality of life.
Due to participant preferences and support requirements, we are particularly seeking female support workers for this role.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide SIL support with daily living activities including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
- Assist participants to access the community, attend appointments, and engage in social activities
- Support participants to achieve their individual goals in line with their NDIS plans
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes
- Work collaboratively with families, stakeholders, and the wider WEmpower team
About You
You are caring, reliable, and committed to making a positive difference in people’s lives. You are adaptable, respectful, and able to build strong relationships with participants.
Essential Requirements
- Current Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain)
- Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Current First Aid & CPR CertificateStrong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Highly Regarded
- Previous experience in disability support or similar role
- Relevant qualifications (Certificate III or IV in Individual Support or similar)
- Experience supporting participants with complex needs, behaviours, or high physical support
