About the role

This is a working leadership role, you'll be leading and supervising the production team, allocating daily tasks, and acting as the designated Food Safety Supervisor for your shift, while still rolling your sleeves up alongside the team.

You'll sign off on production quality checks, train and mentor team members, and be the first point of contact when something needs fixing or flagging. If you like being genuinely hands-on while also owning outcomes for a team, this is built for you.

What you'll be doing

- Working with the Warehouse and Operations Manager to ensure smooth and compliant food production operations are consistently maintained in line with company objectives.
- Leading, coordinating and working alongside Production Assistants to ensure objectives are met.
- Acting as the shift's designated Food Safety Supervisor, keeping food safety, WHS and quality standards on track
- Signing off on quality checks to ensure our high-quality standards are consistently maintained.
- Training, onboarding and upskilling team members on processes, equipment and food safety
- Monitoring production KPIs (output, downtime, wastage) and reporting these to the Operations Supervisor
- Running team briefings and toolbox talks




- Being first point of contact for equipment faults and coordinating repairs
- Completing batch, production and related documentation, and supporting continuous improvement on the floor

What you'll bring

- Experience leading, supervising or coordinating a small team in a production, warehouse or manufacturing setting
- Solid production-line experience, ideally in food, beverage, supplement or FMCG manufacturing
- A Food Safety Handling Certificate (SITXFSA005) and a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (SITSS00069)
- A Certificate IV in Frontline Management/Leadership (or equivalent) is a bonus, as is a forklift licence
- Sound judgement and the ability to make calls under pressure
- A fair, consistent approach to managing people and resolving issues
- Someone who's honest, reliable, and holds themselves and others to a high standard
- Physically fit and happy to be hands-on, including lifting and being on your feet all day
