As a disability support worker, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals with varying disabilities. You will work 1:1 with people of all ages and backgrounds, supporting in homes and out in the community. From sharing a walk in the park to helping someone build life skills, your presence will matter every single day.

What you'll be doing

- Providing personal care including bathing, grooming and dressing.
- Assist with meal preparation and dietary support as required.
- Support people with shopping and housekeeping
- Supporting people to work towards their goals, whether that’s building independence or social inclusion.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships, based on trust and respect.
- Encourage and support clients to be part of their community and do what they love.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and their families based on trust and respect




- Maintain accurate and confidential records of supports provided.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members

We are looking for people who are:

- Compassionate, patient and have a genuine commitment to supporting people in our community.
- Reliable with a strong work ethic, the ability to work independently and also part of a team.
- Understanding of disability support principals
- Able to maintain confidentiality, boundaries, and sensitive information.
- Great communicators, active listeners and emotionally intelligent.

Requirements:

- A current First Aid Certificate and CPR
- A valid Australian Driver's License and a reliable, registered vehicle
- WWVP
- Completion of the NDIS Workers Orientation Module - "Quality, Safety and You"
- Prior experience and qualifications are highly desirable.
