Are you passionate about fishkeeping, plant care, and aquaculture? We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Aquarium Fish Production Assistant to join our team.

This is a hands-on role dedicated to breeding, growing, and maintaining high-quality freshwater livestock. If you have solid experience in the aquarium trade or a deep, practical involvement in the hobby, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

- Livestock Production: Hands-on breeding and rearing of aquatic snails, shrimp, ornamental fish, and aquatic plants.
- Broodstock Care: Maintaining peak health, feeding regimes, and ideal water parameters for primary breeding stock.
- System Maintenance: Managing daily water changes, filter maintenance, water testing, and monitoring system health across multiple setups.
- Quality Control: Sorting, grading, and prepping livestock and plants to ensure high production standards.
- General Facility Upkeep: Keeping the facility clean, organized, and running efficiently.

What We Are Looking For

- Aquarium Experience:



Demonstrated experience in the aquarium trade or a serious background in the hobby (breeding, aquascaping, system setup).
- Technical Knowledge: A robust understanding of water chemistry, nitrogen cycles, disease identification, and species-specific dietary needs.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to spot early signs of stress, disease, or water quality issues before they affect production.
- Physical Fitness: Comfortable standing for long periods, bending, and lifting equipment or buckets of water as required.
- Work Ethic: Reliable, self-motivated, and capable of following detailed procedures independently or as part of a small team.

Job Details

- Type: Casual position 38 hours per week.
- Remuneration: $35.00 per hour.
- Schedule: Standard shifts across weekdays, with occasional weekend flexibility if required for stock care.
