Front Office & Operations Support Officer

Carpentaria Marine is seeking a full-time Front Office / Operations Support office to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the Operations Coordinator and Regional Manager in a fast-paced environment, providing frontline officer duties and essential operational support. The position requires strong organisational skills, the ability to prioritise workloads, remain calm under pressure, and maintain a positive, qualified attitude. We are seeking a long-term applicant who is motivated to contribute to the ongoing success and smooth operation of our business.

Main Duties/Responsibilities

- Reception duties; answering calls and meeting visitors
- Raise quotes and jobcards
- Arrange Travel & Accommodation
- Vessel stores and purchasing
- Posting Advertisements for recruiting
- Assist with Onboarding of New Employees
- Maintain Employee training matrix
- Maintain PPE and uniform stock for Cairns
- Receive incoming freight
- Process EFT transactions




- Receive and process supplier bills
- Collect orders and supplies as required
- Receive incoming freight
- Other ad hoc admin tasks as directed

Skills & Experience

Experience

- Exposure to a small fast pace office environment would be advantageous
- Transport and Logistics knowledge preferably in the marine industry

Skills

- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to prioritise conflicting work demands
- High Level Organisational and Time management capability

Performance Goals

- Complete administration tasks on time and accurately to avoid rework
- Deal with clients, suppliers and other employees professionally at all times

Job Type

Full-time – 40 hour week 0730hrs to 1600hrs
