BTP has long term opportunities for suitably qualified Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanics to join our Component Rebuild Centre and be a part of our business in Mackay in full-time permanent positions.

The Component Rebuild Centre performs complete component rebuilds of predominantly caterpillar drive line components, to OEM specifications, carrying out diagnostic testing and fault finding, interpreting specifications including critical measurements of components and ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and contamination control guidelines. Completed components enter our service exchange business or are sold direct to customers for their specific requirements.

About The Role

- Automotive or Engineering Trade Certificate. Components rebuild experience on Caterpillar equipmentpreferred.
- Rebuild experience on one or more of the following: transmissions, torque converters, diffs, final drives, or wheel groups.
- Valid High-Risk Work Licence, Forklift and Dogging
- Valid Australian Drivers Licence
- Ability to meet all requirements including Pass a Pre-Employment medical.

- Competent computer skills with experience using MS office and Caterpillar SISpreferred.
- Passionate about quality of work ensuring functionality and reliability exceeds customer expectations.
- Knowledge and application of Occupational Health and Safety in the workplace
