EyeHub Pty Ltd To provide technical assistance to the surgeon during procedures; and support and advise patients.
Benefits Task & responsibilities Dutues & Responsibilities: Assist the surgeon with clinical examination of eyes, including patient eye pressures, visual acuity, corneal topography and refraction.
Pre-Cataract Assessment including calculating IOL Power and ordering of lenses Preoperative Pentacam Assist the surgeon in refractive surgical procedures including PRESBYOND, SMILE, LASIK and PRK Evaluate Strabismus / Squints Act as patient screener / advisor, providing guidance about the different types of refractive surgery available.
Essential Requirements: Be proficient in the programming, operation and ongoing management of Zeiss Visumax platform and MEL90 Excimer laser. Be fully conversant with Pachymetry and Perimetry (HUMPHERY) perimeters.
Function in a highly organized, and time effective manner at all times. Be able to problem solve in a surgical setting, meeting surgery timelines and carrying out required tasks. Assisting the Surgeon to create, define, refine and manage Refractive protocols, procedures and workflows.
Ensure all specialist medical services are delivered in a smooth and efficient manner. Assist the Surgeon with clinical examination of Eyes, including patient eye pressures, Visual acuity, Corneal Topography and refraction.
Qualification & experience Relevant qualification at the level of a diploma or higher. Minimum two years’ experience required.
Experience with cloud based patient management / practice management software or similar medical practice software. A well-developed knowledge base of Private billing for consultations and surgical procedures. Must have proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Demonstrated outstanding customer service and people skills. The ability to relate well to patients and communicate with health care professionals/external health facilities as needed. Demonstrate a high level of motivation and operate in cooperation with a surgical team with attention to detail.
Demonstrate an ability to multi-task within a fast-paced working environment. There is a high degree of patient admin. Be able to take direction.
