Us: (large) cafe in Rozelle with 78 seating indoors and 28 outdoors. Our vibe is relaxing, romantic, comfort, jazzy and soulful. Beautiful big windows wrap around the entire space that the locals love for its uniqueness.
We are open 7 days a week.
This is an exciting time to join us as a new owner recently took over the existing cafe and we are rebranding and having a launch party at the end of August. This is your chance to be at the inception of our big vision and be a crucial part of the growth.
What You Will Do As The Manager
Leadership
Lead by example for the team of 10
Maintain the positive, respectful and accountable team culture we have built
Set the standard every shift
Customer Experience
Deliver warm, genuine hospitality
Build relationships with regular customers & turn walk-ins into regulars
Resolve issues quickly and professionally
Attention to Detail
Ensure every coffee, plate and table meets the dear darling, standard
Communication
Communicate openly and honestly with the owner
Raise issues early and bring solutions
Keep the kitchen and front of house working as one team
Operations
Take ownership of the day-to-day operation
Manage rosters, ordering, cash handling and compliance
Maintain a clean, organised and efficient venue
Team Development
Recruit and train great people
Coach and support the team
Address performance issues promptly and fairly
Calm Under Pressure
Ownership
Treat the business as if it were your own
Take responsibility for the good and the bad
Look for ways to improve the business every day
Working with the Owner
The owner is highly engaged, passionate and detail oriented. We are looking for a manager who enjoys working closely with an owner, welcomes feedback as a way to grow and be better, communicates professionally, and has the confidence to respectfully share ideas and recommendations, all while being trusted to lead the day-to-day operations and be respected for it.
