About the Opportunity
We are looking for a full-time Mentor to join our Workforce Australia program in Bundaberg. The primary focus of this role is intensive, personalised case management that helps clients build skills, gain experience, and progress into sustainable employment through regular support.
On a day-to-day basis you will:
Guide clients using a holistic, person-centred approach that addresses individual barriers, strengths, and goals.
Develop pre-employment skills and job readiness through individual coaching, group activities, and resilience workshops.
Create and implement personalised work preparation and employment plans aligned to client needs and career goals.
Support clients through education, training, and vocational development to improve completion rates and employment outcomes.
Collaborate with Recruitment Partners and employers to match client development with workforce and employer requirements.
Maintain regular client engagement and achieve KPI targets through ongoing contact, support service coordination, and compliance with service delivery requirements.
To succeed in this role, you will
Engage, motivate, and influence clients using active listening and coaching techniques to identify goals and overcome barriers.
Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate with community services, networks, and employment providers to achieve positive client outcomes.
Knowledge of employment services and the ability to quickly learn relevant programs and requirements.
Solid communication skills, including rapport building, negotiation, advocacy, conflict resolution, and client assessment.
Experience monitoring client progress, coaching, and mentoring clients to achieve employment and personal goals.
Ability to work in a performance-driven environment, set priorities, and consistently achieve outcomes and KPIs.
Qualification in relevant field e.g. Employment or Community Services would be desirable
