Casual Room Attendant/ Houseperson/ Public Area Cleaner
TheGreat Southern Hotel Sydney (GSH-Sydney)is a self-rated 4 Star hotel located in the heart of Sydney CBD. We are currently seeking an experienced Housekeeping Hotel Room Attendant on a casual basis to join our team. You must take pride in your work and be willing to go that "extra mile" to make our guest's stay an enjoyable one. This is a physically demanding role that requires an energetic and enthusiastic person who is ready and willing to work as part of a team.
About the role:
- General Housekeeping of Rooms and Public Areas of the Hotel
- Cleaning public areas such as hotel lobby, lift, stairways, public toilets etc.
- Working as a House Person conducting House Person duties such as the delivery of linen/towels/roll away beds to room/s
- Servicing and cleaning allocated guest rooms
- Stocking and maintaining the housekeeping trolley
- Handling all amenities, chemicals,
and equipment according to specific instructions and OH&S; standards and undertaking special cleaning projects as directed
About you:
- Be self-motivated and be able to work unsupervised
- Be flexible and available for work across a 7-day roster with an early morning shift or evening shift.
- Have knowledge and understanding of basic hygiene requirements and secure working procedure.
- Be committed to providing extraordinary service
- Have good communication and interpersonal skills
- Minimum 12 months of experience in a 3-to-5-star establishment
