AVE Technologies is looking for an experienced Security Technician to join our team based in Newcastle, supporting a range of industrial and infrastructure projects across the region.

Working as part of our security team, you will be involved in the installation, maintenance, and commissioning of security systems across project and service environments.

This role offers 13 RDOs per year, travel allowances and opportunities for overtime- making it a great fit for someone looking for hands-on work with solid rewards and certified training opportunities.

What will you do?

- Installation and commissioning of security systems
- CCTV, access control and alarm systems
- Fault finding, maintenance and servicing
- Reading and interpreting plans and schematics
- Liaising with clients and project teams onsite
- Ensuring work is completed safely and to a high standard

About you





- Experience working in a similar role and strong knowledge of CCTV, Access Control & Security Electronics infrastructure.
- Drivers’ Licence (essential), Security Licence 2 (essential).
- Job-specific certifications/checks including Open Registered Cabler Licence (desirable), White Card, National Police Check & Working with Children Check or willing to obtain upon commencement.
- Integriti Certification and CCTV VMS Certifications an advantage.
- Great communication and stakeholder management. A collaborative and reliable team player who promotes a secure, respectful, and supportive working environment.
- Ability to travel to regional/interstate (with notice)& work overtime when required.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
