About the Role
Treescape is expanding its utilities vegetation management crews across Brisbane and is seeking experienced and safety-focused EWP Operators to support planned vegetation management works within overhead electricity distribution networks.
This is utilities vegetation management work carried out around live electrical infrastructure. If you're an experienced EWP Operator who is comfortable working at heights, following strict safe systems of work, and delivering quality vegetation outcomes as part of a professional crew, we'd like to hear from you.
The Work
As an EWP Operator, you will be responsible for:
- Operating Elevated Work Platforms using approved operating techniques and equipment.
- Performing pruning and vegetation removal to maintain required powerline clearances.
- Working safely within regulated electrical corridors and roadside environments.
- Conducting aerial tree work in accordance with utility specifications and industry standards.
- Assisting with vegetation management activities as required by crew leaders.
- Following all Secure Systems of Work, risk controls and site-specific requirements.
- Inspecting and maintaining EWP equipment and tools.
Utilities Requirements
- Previous EWP operating experience is essential.
- High Risk Work Licence (WP) highly regarded.
- Experience working within utilities vegetation management is preferred.
- MR Driver Licence and reliable transport required.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and undertake physically demanding work.
- Willingness to complete network inductions and utility access requirements (if not already held).
- Pre-employment medical, including Drug & Alcohol testing, is mandatory.
- Compliance and safety are non-negotiable—we will support required training where appropriate.
