Family Dental Care is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant/Dental Receptionist to join our team in Campbelltown NSW. This is a part-time /Full time position that offers the perfect opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive dental workplace. You will play a vital role in ensuring our practice runs smoothly by providing both clinical and administrative support. This role is essential to delivering exceptional patient care and maintaining the efficiency of our dental clinic.

What you'll be doing

- Assisting dentists during clinical procedures, including instrument passing, patient positioning, and suctioning
- Preparing treatment rooms and sterilising dental instruments according to infection control protocols
- Recording patient treatment notes and maintaining accurate dental records
- Greeting patients and scheduling appointments with professionalism and courtesy
- Processing patient payments, insurance claims, and maintaining financial records
- Answering telephone enquiries and responding to patient communications
- Maintaining reception areas and ensuring the practice is clean and organised
- Assisting with sterilisation and infection control procedures throughout the clinic
- Supporting the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow and satisfaction

What we’re looking for

- Relevant qualification or certification as a Dental Assistant or equivalent experience in a dental setting
- Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Proficiency in dental practice management software and general computer skills




- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-focused approach
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support colleagues
- Current or willingness to obtain Working with Children Check (WWCC) and relevant certifications
- Understanding of dental terminology, procedures, and infection control protocols
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude with a commitment to high standards of care
- Preferred experience with dental radiography and basic clinical assisting techniques
- RSA/First Aid certification is desirable
