Disability Support Worker - Hinchinbrook

The successful applicant will join a team of experienced Support Workers to provide individualised support in areas of activities of daily living, social and recreation, personal care, enteral feeding, epilepsy management, manual handling, bowel care, medication administration and operation of mobility equipment and must speak **Spanish**.

Casual SCHADS Award Weekday rate for qualified applicants $45.28 to $46.70 depending on level of qualification and experience.

Applicants without a formal qualification, with experience or working towards a qualification in the industry may be considered for this role and paid according to the Casual SCHADS Award $34.44 - $45.28.

Weekend shifts with penalty rates may also be offered.

Essential Skill Requirements:

- Cert III or higher in Disability/Community Services/Individual Support or related field or working towards obtaining.
- Demonstrated experience (6+months) working in this field
- Experience providing personal care support
- Highly developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in recognising risks, managing workplace health and safety (WHS), and reporting effectively.
- Speak Spanish





Mandatory Compliance

- Right to work in Australia
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working With Children Check
- Current First Aid including CPR
- Valid Driver's Licence & Vehicle with full Comprehensive insurance
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Infection Control Training

Highly Desirable:

- Experience providing respectful supports within a person's home
- Experience in complex care support
- Experience supporting individuals with Cerebral Palsy
- Experience in the use of mobility equipment such as hoist, wheelchair etc
- Previous experience in medication management, epilepsy management, peg feeding and bowel care.

Individualised training will be conducted for complex care support
