Showroom Manager / 2IC - Furniture Sales

Canalside Interiors is a family-owned furniture retailer with over 40 years of experience supplying quality furniture to Australian homes. We are known for exceptional customer service, quality products and a loyal customer base.

We are looking for an experienced Showroom Manager / Showroom 2IC to join our Alexandria showroom.

The Role

This is a hands-on showroom sales and leadership role. You will be the primary point of contact for customers visiting, calling or enquiring about our furniture. This is a sales-focused role. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with customers, closing sales and taking ownership of the customer experience from beginning to end.

You will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the showroom. You'll be trusted to oversee showroom operations, coordinate a small team and ensure things run smoothly without requiring constant direction.

You'll take ownership of the customer journey from initial enquiry through to delivery and after-sales support, ensuring every customer receives exceptional service.

While you'll have significant autonomy and responsibility within the role, you'll work closely with the business owners and be supported by an experienced and close-knit team.

This role would suit an experienced salesperson who is ready to step into a broader leadership position with greater ownership, responsibility and influence.

Key Responsibilities

- Represent Canalside Interiors and deliver an exceptional customer experience
- Convert enquiries into sales
- Manage the customer journey from initial enquiry through to delivery and after-sales support
- Follow up quotations,



process orders and ensure customer commitments are followed through
- Take responsibility for opening, closing and the smooth day-to-day operation of the showroom
- Maintain exceptional showroom presentation and merchandising
- Provide day-to-day leadership to a small showroom team

Who We're Looking For

- Minimum 3 years' experience in furniture sales, retail management, consultative sales or a similar customer-facing role, with an interest in furniture, interiors and homewares
- Proven ability to build relationships, close sales and deliver exceptional customer service
- Organised, skilled and highly reliable
- Strong communication and computer skills
- Comfortable taking ownership, solving problems and working independently
- Looking for a long-term opportunity within an established and growing business

Working Arrangements

- Full-time position
- Based in our Alexandria showroom
- Must be available to work every second Sunday
- Availability to work alternate Saturdays is highly preferred
- Flexible working arrangements can be discussed for the right candidate
- Immediate start available
