ABOUT THIS ROLE

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly capable Operations Supervisor in Gladstone.

The role is a mix of hands-on and office-based with consistent engagement and communication with our customers and driving teams to achieve the desired outcomes on safety, productivity, process, compliance, mentoring and training.

This is an excellent career development opportunity with a fast-growing, international business. This role will report to the Depot Manager and work across council and commercial contracts based from this site.

You’ll bring urgency, confidence, and a customer-first mindset. You’ll understand the bigger picture, set clear objectives and guide the team to deliver outstanding results every day.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead and supervise a team; including training, mentoring and performance
- Implement and fulfil operational policies and procedures
- Monitor and optimise production processes to improve efficiency




- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards and reporting.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues promptly
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions
- Establish and manage relations with customers, team members and suppliers

ABOUT YOU

- Fantastic at employee engagement! You are a people leader by nature, and enjoy interacting with your team
- The ability to prioritise, think laterally and make things happen
- Analytical and highly organised
- Previous leadership experience within transport, logistics or a similar operational environment
- Hold a current HR licence, (HC or MC highly regarded) plus minimum of 12 months driving experience
- Happy to roll your sleeves up and spend time out on site with the team
- Be an approachable, authentic, supportive and empathetic leader
- Continuous improvement focused; with the ability to deliver short and long term
- KPI focused with the ability to perform under pressure
- Able to successfully satisfy a pre-employment medical / drug and alcohol screen
- Able to provide a 5-year traffic history at the interview
