This is an enviable opportunity for an experiencedDesign Coordinator / Architect to join a majorNational Builder, already representing one of the more robust design divisions, as they continue to invest in their pre-construction drawing, documentation and detailing capability.
"Applicants MUST be able to demonstrate Revit software experience at a proficient level".
The position will suit an individual with a pragmatic mindset, comfortable with a heavy documentation and detailing focus, able to support the provision of design solutions and value engineering. This is not a ‘plug and play’ role but rather the opportunity to have meaningful input into project delivery solutions through;
Key Responsibilities
- Providing high-level, technical design support to the Design Managers.
- Developing project design and documentation from schematic design stage to construction contract stage.
- Analysis and identification of buildability and design issues at documentation stage.
- Identification and resolution of certification / compliance issues.
- Assisting project delivery teams; monitoring and mitigating project risks and escalating concerns where relevant, responding to RFIs, design resolutions,
project support throughout delivery phase.
You will be assessed not only on your technical capacity and cultural fit, but on your project portfolio as a 'fit-for-purpose'Design Coordinator. This will be a comparative assessment to find the 'right' person who has remained committed to the design discipline and can demonstratespecific expertise across the Health and Ageing, Hospitality, Government, Education and Commercial works sectors (i.e. non-residential / apartments).
You may be currently delivering projects in the principal contractor environment for a D&C; construction firm in a formal Design Coordinator, Architect, Building Designer or SeniorDraftsperson capacity, or have a hands‑on, drawing orientated role in an architectural practice covering the above disciplines.
You must have a stable career history and be based in Brisbane - this is a full time office based position.
