Role/Title: Senior Platform Engineer/DevOps Engineer- GCP- 6- 10 YearsMode of Hiring: PermanentLocation: Sydney

Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and skilled Developer Programmer to join our team o own the technical direction and day-to-day execution of our DevOps strategies and platform delivery goals.

What You'll Do

- Drive day-to-day technical prioritisation across the team, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and coordination of parallel workstreams.
- Design, implement, and govern CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI and secrets management platforms such as HashiCorp Vault.
- Operate and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters (OpenShift/Rancher) in production environments.




- Build and maintain GCP infrastructure using Terraform, supporting GKE, VPC networking, IAM, monitoring, and cost optimisation.
- Govern security pipeline stages across the SDLC — ensuring findings are actioned before promotion.
- Engage cross-functional teams (Software Operations, Platform, Testing, Delivery, Architecture) to align on tooling, standards, and delivery approaches.
- Produce and maintain documentation and operational runbooks in Confluence.

- Advanced Kubernetes operations (OpenShift/Rancher) with strong production troubleshooting experience.
- Hands-on GCP experience across provisioning, operations, monitoring, and incident response (GKE, VPC, IAM).
- Solid CI/CD pipeline design and governance skills using GitLab CI, with GitOps delivery patterns..
- Infrastructure-as-Code proficiency using Terraform and/or Ansible, plus strong scripting in Python and Bash.
- Experience with pipeline security tooling (SAST, DAST, SCA) and secrets management (HashiCorp Vault or equivalent).
- Robust hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and container hardening.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
