We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Assistant / Delivery Driver to join the team at Absolute Providores. This is a full-time position based in Bulimba, QLD 4171. In this dual-role position, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse facilities and the timely delivery of products to our customers. You will work in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, efficiency and customer service excellence are paramount. This role offers the opportunity to develop your skills across both warehouse operations and logistics whilst contributing to the success of our growing business.
Key responsibilities
- Receiving, unpacking, checking and storing incoming goods in the warehouse with accuracy and care
- Picking, packing and preparing orders for dispatch in accordance with delivery schedules and customer specifications
- Operating warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintaining accurate inventory records and assisting with stock counts and cycle checks
- Loading delivery vehicles and ensuring goods are secured and organised for transport
- Operating delivery vehicles and transporting products to customers in a timely and professional manner
- Obtaining customer signatures and handling cash or card payments where applicable
- Maintaining delivery vehicle cleanliness and reporting any maintenance issues
- Following all health and safety protocols and maintaining a clean, organised warehouse environment
- Communicating with customers professionally and addressing any delivery-related queries
- Assisting with general warehouse maintenance and housekeeping duties
What we're looking for
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and experience driving light commercial vehicles
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is highly desirable
- Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts (certification or willingness to obtain certification is valued)
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when handling goods and documentation
- Physical fitness and ability to lift and move items regularly throughout the day
- Reliability and a solid work ethic with excellent attendance
- Clear communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures and a commitment to maintaining a safe workplace
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse management systems (preferred but not essential)
