As a Maintenance Assistant at the Great Keppel Island Hideaway, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of this picturesque island resort. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will be responsible for a variety of maintenance and handyperson duties to maintain the high standards expected by our guests. This full-time position is based on the beautiful Great Keppel Island in Queensland.

On-island accommodation is provided for this remote location role.

What you'll be doing

- Perform general maintenance tasks such as painting, minor repairs, and preventative maintenance
- Perform the refuse collection and recycling duties on site.
- Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of resort facilities, equipment, and infrastructure
- Provide support for various resort operations as needed, including event setup and cleaning
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders from guests and staff
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to identify and address any issues or areas for improvement
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with relevant regulations and company policies

- A keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team




- A positive attitude and a commitment to delivering customer service
- Entry level candidates are welcome, with no minimum years of maintenance or handyperson experience required
- Australian work rights are required for this position
