Disability Support Worker (DSP) – Join a High-Quality Mental Health & NDIS Team

Location: Gold Coast / Southeast Queensland
Employment Type: Casual / Part-Time / Full-Time (Adaptable)
Organisation: Healthy Mind and Memory PTY LTD partnership with Connecting 2 Care PTY LTD

You are employed on a casual basis in the position of Support Worker. You will report to Krystle-Lee Simpson, Operations & Growth Manager or any other person directed by the Connecting 2 Care PTY LTD time to time.

About Us

Mind and Memory Service is a specialist mental health and neuro-developmental clinic providing evidence-based, holistic care. In collaborative partnership with Connecting 2 Care Pty Ltd, we deliver integrated, person-centred NDIS supports across Southeast Queensland. Together, we support individuals with complex needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Intellectual disability, Psychosocial disability, Dementia, Aged care and dual diagnosis. Our shared focus is on meaningful outcomes—improving independence, function, and quality of life. Connecting 2 Care is an NDIS provider specialising in disability support services. We believe everyone has the right to participate and contribute to our society. Our approach involves offering customised, holistic support, skill development, and training services to help our clients achieve independence.

About the Role

We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and skilled Disability Support Workers to support participants under the NDIS. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, psychologists,



occupational therapists, behaviour support practitioners, and community support providers.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide person‑centred support aligned with individual care plans
- Assist with daily living activities (personal care, meal preparation, community access)
- Support emotional regulation, social engagement, and skill development
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes
- Promote independence, dignity, and participant choice

Requirements

- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, or equivalent
- Experience working with individuals with ASD, ADHD, Aged care, Dementia or psychosocial disabilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage challenging behaviours using a calm, structured approach
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card – QLD)
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
- First Aid & CPR certification
- Experience with high‑support or complex participants
- Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) frameworks
