INDEX is partnering with a mid-market MSP specialising in cyber security to support the growth of its managed technology and automation capability. The environment brings together managed IT, cyber operations, cloud, security tooling and service delivery workflows across a national customer base.

About the role

This role is built for a DevOps Engineer who enjoys taking repetitive, manual work and turning it into automation that genuinely improves how service delivery teams operate. You’ll work closely with support teams to understand their workflows, identify where automation will have the biggest impact, and deliver reliable scripts, integrations and pipelines that reduce toil and improve consistency.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify repetitive, manual and time-intensive service delivery workflows across supportteams, then shape automation opportunities.
- Build and support scripts, integrations, workflow automations and CI/CD pipelines using scripting, low-code or iPaaS platforms and AI-assisted automation where appropriate.
- Connect systems across SIEM, ticketing, ITSM, monitoring, Microsoft 365, Azure and security tooling using APIs, webhooks and secure integration patterns.
- Deliver automations as durable engineering artefacts, with Git versioning, peer review, documentation, runbooks and adoption support so other engineers can use and extend them confidently.

Requirements

- 3+ years’ experience as a DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer or similar, ideally within a managed services, SOC, MSSP or service delivery environment.




- Strong scripting capability in at least one language such as Python, PowerShell or Bash, with working knowledge of Git and source control workflows.
- Experience with automation, workflow orchestration, CI/CD tooling and integration patterns, including APIs and webhook-driven services.
- Familiarity with cloud, infrastructure-as-code or security tooling such as Azure, AWS, Terraform, Bicep, Microsoft 365, Defender, Sentinel, Entra ID or Intune.
