We're looking for an experienced Vehicle Fit-Out Technician to join our team.

This is not an entry-level position. We're seeking someone with proven industry experience who can confidently hit the ground running, work independently and consistently deliver high-quality workmanship.

About The Role

This is a hands-on, full-time position based in our Loganholme workshop.

You'll be responsible for assembling and installing KAT's Australian-made shelving systems, manufacturing custom flooring and completing high-quality fit-outs on commercial vans and utes. Every fit-out is different, providing plenty of variety and opportunities to use your skills.

Quality is everything to us. Every vehicle leaves our workshop representing the KAT name, so attention to detail and pride in workmanship are essential.

Your Day-to-Day Will Include

- Assembling KAT Vehicle Shelving systems
- Installing shelving systems into commercial vans and utes
- Manufacturing and fitting false flooring systems
- Measuring,



creating and cutting timber floor templates
- Installing slide drawer systems
- Installing roof bars, roof racks and ladder restraints
- Measuring, marking and modifying components for accurate fitment
- Carrying out quality checks throughout each installation
- Treating every customer vehicle with care and respect
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop
- Completing work within allocated timeframes while maintaining exceptional workmanship

What We're Looking For

- Previous experience fitting vehicle accessories, commercial vehicle fit-outs or a similar role (essential)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to read and follow drawings, measurements and installation instructions
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Confidence measuring, cutting and accurately fitting components
- High attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
- Reliable, organised and punctual
- Ability to meet deadlines without compromising quality
- Treating every customer vehicle with care and respect while maintaining a clean work area
- Current Australian Driver's Licence

Highly Regarded

- Experience fitting shelving systems or commercial van fit-outs
- Fabrication or workshop experience
