Roband is Australia's leading manufacturer and supplier of commercial catering equipment for the catering and hospitality industry for over 70 years. Located on the Northern Beaches, Roband manufactures its own extensive range of cooking and food preparation products at its newly refurbished premises.

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing & Logistics Officer to ensure the continuous and cost-effective supply of components, materials, and finished goods to support production and sales. You will need an eye for detail.

This is a critical role within the business, responsible for maintaining stock availability, preventing production downtime, and ensuring products are delivered on time and at the best total cost.

You will be responsible for planning what to order, how much to order, and when to order, as well as coordinating overseas shipments, container consolidation, freight management, and supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage procurement of materials,



components, and finished goods
- Determine order quantities based on demand, stock levels, and lead times
- Coordinate overseas suppliers, container shipments, and freight providers
- Negotiate supplier pricing and manage supplier performance
- Ensure continuous supply and minimise stockouts and delays
- Support product introductions and discontinuations
- Liaise with Engineering, Production, Finance, and Sales

About You

- Strong negotiation, planning, and problem-solving skills
- Confident making purchasing decisions (not just processing orders)
- Experience with overseas suppliers and freight coordination
- Robust experience in procurement, supply chain, or logistics roles
- Manufacturing or import/distribution experience highly regarded
