About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Operations Manager - NDIS to join our team on a contract basis at our Regents Park, NSW office. This is a strategic support role that will be integral to ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our NDIS services. You will work closely with the Operations Manager and senior leadership to oversee day-to-day operational activities, support service delivery, and contribute to the continued growth and excellence of our organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a dynamic, mission-driven environment where you can make a tangible impact on the lives of vulnerable individuals.

Key responsibilities

- Support the Operations Manager in overseeing daily operational activities and service delivery across NDIS programmes
- Assist in managing staff scheduling, rosters, and resource allocation to ensure adequate coverage and service quality
- Monitor and report on key operational metrics, including service hours delivered, participant outcomes, and compliance indicators
- Support the implementation and maintenance of operational policies, procedures, and quality standards
- Liaise between frontline support workers, participants, and management to identify and resolve operational challenges
- Assist with participant onboarding, care coordination, and transition processes
- Support compliance and audit preparation, including documentation and record-keeping for NDIS requirements




- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and the development of operational processes
- Assist in training and mentoring support staff to ensure consistent service delivery and professional development
- Manage administrative tasks and communications to support efficient operations
- Attend network events to ensure

What we're looking for

- Minimum 2-3 years' experience in operations, management, or coordination roles, preferably within disability support, aged care, or community services
- Robust knowledge of the NDIS framework, legislation, and reporting requirements
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organisation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience with operational management software or systems
- Sound organisational and time-management skills with strong attention to detail
- A commitment to person-centred care and the values of respect, dignity, and inclusion
- Knowledge of disability support, NDIS processes, or community services sector experience
- Current or willingness to obtain relevant certifications such as First Aid (Working with Children Check equivalent) where applicable
- High level organisational and time management skills.
- Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
