Lady Elliot Island is a coral cay at the southern tip of the World Heritage-listed Great Barrier Reef. Protected within a highly restricted 'Green Zone', the island is home to over 1,200 species of marine life, including manta rays, turtles and an unspoilt coral reef teeming with colour and life. Lady Elliot Island Eco Resort is an award-winning eco-tourism business built around this extraordinary natural setting. We're looking for a Sous Chef to join our team on the island.
In this role, you'll help shape the Lady Elliot Island experience by delivering outstanding dining for our guests. Supporting the Head Chef, you'll play a key part in the smooth running of the kitchen, from food preparation and stock control to supervising kitchen staff. Core responsibilities include food preparation, inventory and stock management and cleaning.

Essential: previous experience with buffets or bulk cooking

About the role:
This is a salaried, fly-in/fly-out position, with a roster of 10 days on the island followed by 4 days off. Staff accommodation is provided on-island, you'll have your own room with shared bathroom facilities. As this is a remote posting, the only mode of transport is by light plane and successful candidates will fly in/out of Hervey Bay.
