This is a permanent, full time position. This Position Location is Regional and can be based in either Dalby, Chinchilla, Jandowae, Miles, Tara or Wandoan.
The Opportunity
The Administration and Housing Officer - Facilities is responsible for the delivery of Council's Housing programs, provide administration support to carry out the programs, activities and operations of the department as well as providing high level customer service.
This role encompasses a range of duties and responsibilities which may vary as directed by Council. The key ones include:
- (1) Undertaking procurement activities on behalf of the Facilities Department as guided by Council's Procurement Policy; and
- (2) Providing facilities operational and administrative support to internal and external stakeholders; and
- (3) Monitoring, record keeping, assigning and actioning correspondence in task lists, shared mailboxes and calendars; and
- (4) Overseeing the tenancy management of all Council owned housing properties.
About Yourself
A person in this position will need to hold relevant Certificate/Diploma of Business Administration OR be able to demonstrate equivalent related experience.
It is also highly desirable for the successful candidate to have relevant knowledge and experience relating to State Government and Residential Tenancies Authority reporting and legislative requirements in relation to delivering housing programs. A current driver's licence is essential for this role as travel is required.
