Production Labourer / General Hand - Playground Manufacturing

Play Workshop is a designer, supplier, and builder of playground equipment and play spaces into NSW and ACT. We are a very creative business, looking for opportunities to create custom equipment and amazing playground solutions for our clients. This role requires an enthusiastic and capable Production Labourer/General Hand to work closely with the Production Team, Operations Manager, and occasionally the onsite installation team, to ensure the successful and professional manufacture and delivery of our custom timber products.

Type of employment:

This is a Permanent Full time role of 38 hours per week. Work hours will typically be between 7:00am – 3:30pm over five days of the week.

The role reports directly to the Operations Manager

Location:

The role is based at our Silverwater Workshop – 20 Churchill Street, Silverwater.

Rate of Pay:

Your salary will be based on experience and skill level – can be negotiated

Main Responsibilities:

- Assist in the production of all timber-related products
- Assembly of related products if required.
- Assist in the maintenance of tools and machinery




- Handling and Packaging of all timber products
- Occasional assistance in installation of playgrounds onsite - assisting the installers
- Maintain own clean and tidy workspace and clean up for tradesmen.
- Driving forklift
- Unloading and dispatching duties
- Safety for yourself and others.

Skills and Experience:

- Previous experience in labouring roles
- Previous experience working with tools and machinery
- Previous experience with Work, Health, and Safety (WHS) systems
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a small team
- Forklift driving experience and ticket ideal
- Drivers licence, with truck licence highly regarded
- Dispatch experience
- Ability to read and translate production and construction drawings
- Strong work ethic and a positive, “Can-do” attitude
- White card
