About the Role

We are looking for full time Meter Technicians to service a new metering contract throughout the Sydney region. This is a full-time, permanent role working with one of our large reputable water utility clients! You will start your day at the yard in Seven Hills collecting the material for the day, you will then be scheduled to attend residential and light commercial.

Key Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:

- External meter swaps (no pipework changes)
- Data logs, reads, leak alerts
- Minor troubleshooting (battery, signal)
- Follow correct replacement procedures.
- Customer Service – face to face and phone
- Perform tasks within budgets and time frames
- Communicate regularly with office support team
- Maintain accurate and timely digital job installation records
- Ensure that all tasks are performed in a manner consistent with state and company OH&S; policies and procedures.
- Work independently

The ideal candidates will possess the following:

- Strong mechanical aptitude – proficient with hand tools.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic with a willingness to learn
- An aptitude for problem solving
- Reliable, punctual, and capable of meeting deadlines
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Able to do a lot of bending, squatting and walking (moderate degree of physical fitness)
- Ability to work in most weather conditions.
- Flexible and comfortable with daily travel
- Own hand tools
- A current driver's licence
- A white card
