The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to support maintenance planning and scheduling across heavy mobile equipment fleets within mining operations.
You will play a key role in ensuring all planned maintenance is prepared, scheduled and executed efficiently, minimising downtime and improving equipment reliability.
This is a site-based contract role with flights, accommodation and meals provided, offering exposure to large-scale mining operations and experienced site teams.
What the role entails
- Plan and schedule maintenance activities across heavy mobile equipment.
- Develop detailed job plans, including labour, parts, tooling and time requirements.
- Coordinate maintenance schedules to align with production requirements and minimise equipment downtime.
- Use maintenance systems (e.g. Pronto, SAP or similar) to manage work orders, planning and reporting.
- Analyse maintenance data to identify trends, improve reliability and optimise maintenance strategies.
- Track and report KPIs relating to equipment availability, reliability and maintenance efficiency.
- Liaise closely with supervisors, trades and reliability teams to ensure effective execution of planned work.
- Continuously improve planning processes, job quality and scheduling effectiveness.
What you will need
- Relevant trade or mechanical qualification
- 5+ years’ experience in a Maintenance Planner role within mining or heavy industry.
- Strong experience planning maintenance for heavy mobile equipment fleets.
- Experience using Pronto, SAP or similar CMMS.
- Strong planning, organisational and communication skills.
