Vuly Play is a dynamic Australian company based in Brisbane, specialising in innovative play equipment and outdoor products. We're passionate about creating fun, safe spaces for families and communities. With a portfolio of approximately 10 buildings (mostly commercial, with some residential), we're seeking a hands-on professional to ensure our properties are maintained to the highest standards and ready for future growth.

Role Overview

Reporting to our Chief Operating Officer, we're looking for an experienced, licensed builder who is also a skilled tradesperson to take charge of all maintenance, renovations, and occasional new construction projects across our properties.

This is a hands-on role where you'll not only coordinate teams but also roll up your sleeves to fix issues yourself. While recent construction isn't constant, there's ongoing maintenance and regular projects that keep things exciting. You'll collaborate with our administrative team, existing trade networks, and your own contacts to deliver efficient, high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day maintenance across ~10 commercial and residential buildings, ensuring everything runs smoothly and safely.

Oversee renovations and construction for new projects as they arise (with a history of regular builds over many years).

Work hands‑on to repair, build, and fix issues using tools and your trade expertise.

Coordinate with admin staff, subcontractors,



and trade networks (including your own) to organise jobs, schedules, and resources.

Ensure all work complies with building regulations and safety standards.

What We’re Looking For

Essential: Current builder's license and proven experience as a tradesperson (e.g., carpenter/chippy, cabinet maker, bricklayer/block layer, or similar).

Hands‑on attitude – you love working with your hands, fixing broken things, and using tools, not just managing from afar.

Strong organisational skills to coordinate trades, projects, and teams effectively.

Ability to collaborate with administrative staff and build on existing trade networks.

Reliability, problem‑solving skills, and a proactive approach to maintenance and construction.

Experience in commercial and residential property management is a plus, but enthusiasm and practical skills are key.
