JSJ Earthmoving is seeking a Labourer/Concrete Sleeper Retaining Wall Builder to join our team on a full time casual basis. This is a hands‑on position based in mostly areas around Redbank, QLD 4301, Springfield and greenbank, where you will play a vital role in the installation of concrete sleeper retaining walls and related earthmoving projects. As a casual worker, you will have flexibility in your schedule whilst contributing to high‑quality construction outcomes for our clients. This role is essential to delivering our project commitments on time and to specification.
Key responsibilities
- Assisting in the construction and installation of concrete sleeper retaining walls
- Preparing construction sites and ensuring work areas are safe and organised
- Excavating and levelling ground as required for wall installations
- Handling and positioning concrete sleepers and related material
- Operating hand tools and basic machinery under supervision
- Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of the work site
- Following all health and safety protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment
- Assisting other tradespeople and team members as required
What we're looking for
- Prior experience in labouring, construction, or earthmoving works is highly desirable
- A solid understanding of health and safety requirements on construction sites
- Physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Proficiency with hand tools and basic construction equipment
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Reliability and a robust work ethic
- A valid driver's licence.
- Willingness to work flexibly and adapt to project requirements
